Merry SteemMAS and a Libre new year

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago

OK, I can be slow. Steem has been on my radar for months now. I don't hold any Steem, but it's a great idea for an app. Not quite convinced it needs a blockchain to back it since I've had a few blogs over the years and I do read reddit, but it's still early days in blockchain app world and its great that Steem gives it a go. For the last few months more and more articles I've been forwarded to or searched point to Steem, so finally took the plunge and signed up for an account.

I am a Tasmaniac, software engineer (embedded and Python mainly), maker, Linux, open source and general cryptocurrency/application enthusiast. I'm here for the apps, so you'll probably realise I do like Ethereum, even if the most useful app so far has been the trade of virtual kitties. The Steem quickstart guide suggested a post to introduce yourself. I generally don't want to post too much details about me but more about things I do, so this post is quite short.

Now ima gonna stop you right there it should be GNU/Linux... sigh maybe it should, but I don't care that much to type extra characters all the time.

So instead of a lengthy introduction, I did another Steem post about my recent issues with Bitcoin fees as I understand it and how I figured a way around it, so I thought that a helpful article might be a better way to use Steem for the first time. Perhaps you can find it. Maybe you find it helpful.
