Hi everyone,
here is a brief intro of myself.

I live in Florida but I am Italian. I moved here a bit more than a month ago to join my now wife!

It has been a long journey, we met both on vacation in Rome more than three years ago and we've been long distance for about two years! She is American and at the time she was taking a master in Leeds, England.
I followed her in the UK getting a very good job in IT there (actually my first real job in IT) and we lived together for almost a year before she had to move back to Florida.

When I first met her I was still living in my home country, Italy, where I just finished a paid internship as Web Developer and I just graduated in Computer Science from the University of Milan. It took me forever because I started working when I was 16 and worked full time living by myself while I was in uni.

So yes, I'm Italian. I was born and lived close to Milan for most of my life, then moved close to Venice for a couple of years to finish my exams and prepare my dissertation. Then I moved to Leeds (UK) as explained above.
My UK employer gave me the opportunity to work with national televisions and massive banking corporations. This year they paid for my flight to the US and as soon as my work permit is ready me and my wife will move to New York so that I can continue to work for them.

Follow some pictures that describe my fascinating journey in IT.
I did not always work in IT. At first I worked in restaurants (actually for almost a decade.. and in the last few years kinda hated it) before finally graduating and starting to work as a software developer. I did it!!

It hasn't been easy but the sacrifices, the hard work and staying up late at night to study and code got me further than I thought! And the future sounds very promising too! (if I avoid the trap of being lazy now..! ;) )

This is me and my first coding experiments. I did not have big monitors so I had to print out the code base to figure out how to code on top of it.

Finally more screens. The more the merrier! (but these were actually too small!)

And yup.. lots of coffee of course!! XD

Some uni classes were quite hard. The Neural Networks class was one of them but eventually I passed with brilliant grades.
(..but I kinda forgot everything already, gotta keep studying man! It's important to stay up to date all the time in IT with conferences, books and articles! )

End of my 1st project with one of my employer clients - it was actually super fun! Lots of table tennis!

CONCLUSION: work hard and play hard, you can achieve your dreams!!! :)
