What do I do?

BOOKS & FOOD

During my spare time you would usually find me either curled up in my room reading a book, or in the kitchen cooking and baking any kind of scrumptious food that I saw on Facebook or Youtube.

Karen Kingsburry & Booksale

I usually only buy books which costs less than 200 pesos because living on a budget is the way to go these days. When I was scrolling through my feed on Facebook, I saw a post that there will be a month long book bazaar of Scholastic books in Manila. I went to the warehouse and bought almost 50 books for only 800 pesos or $15. What a luck!

Here in the Philippines, we have a bookstore or more like a thrift shop for books called "Booksale". They have great finds that would totally make a budgeted college student like me rejoice. Their books only costs about $1 to $3 or even less if you like diving into mountains of books just to find the perfect book for you. I have actually completed Karen Kingsburry's Baxter Family Drama Series which has about 20+ books because of Booksale. I definitely recommend this series because it taught me that "Love is a decision" and having a Christ centered family will help you get through the worst circumstances in life.

The Cookie Box

Last year, I had a lot of spare time and thought of how I could make use of it. So I tried selling cookies to my friends. Not only am I making use of my spare time, but I am also earning money to add up to my savings. I never thought my cookies would be a hit but I was proved wrong. Day after day, people would approach me and order more cookies. Some would even send me a personal message and place an order. It definitely is a great thing to make use of your passion and hobbies when you've got nothing else to do.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I grew up in a family of artists. My dad and older brother run a creative studio where I help as a personal assistant during shoots and video coverages in different events. The photo above was taken by my brother for a wedding we covered three weeks ago. Though I may not be as good as my dad and brother in taking pictures, I can confidently say that I have an eye for good photographs.
