Hello from HelpGuide.org!
We're a non-profit organization that provides free information about mental, emotional, and social health. We cover topics ranging from Addiction and Anxiety to Healthy Eating and Stress Relief. Our ultimate goal is to help people help themselves and we try to provide the information, resources, and motivation necessary to achieve that goal.
During the last 16 years we've been expanding and refining our site. We stay on top of developments in the psychological, social, and medical sciences, both through our own research and via our collaboration with Harvard Health Publications (http://www.health.harvard.edu/). HelpGuide has become a globally acclaimed resource serving over 80 million people annually.

In Memory of Morgan Leslie Segal
HelpGuide is dedicated to Morgan Leslie Segal. For six years, she grappled with a condition that started as low self-esteem and worsened into major depression. She stuck with a single therapeutic mode and her prescribed medications even though the combination just made her worse. Finally, in desperation, she committed suicide just after her 29th birthday.
Morgan loved the Internet. If she had access to the wide range of unbiased, motivating resources and self-help tools HelpGuide now provides, we believe her suicide could have been prevented.
This kind of work is unbelievably important. Thanks for sharing!
