G'day Senator - and welcome to the Steemit community.
Am struggling with this concept of a little "l" libertarian and the fact a libertarian is a practising politician and supporter/member any "collective" (party).
What we read is that your current position permits you to have some influence in how much the State robs and/or imposes itself on Maine's Citizens ...and that you are campaigning to have a seat at the table that dictates how much the USSA government may steal from the Citizens of an entire nation, as well as to what extent the USSA may impose itself on not only its own populace, but that of the world.
It's difficult to rationalize supporting anyone who seeks to have a position of influence, be it positive or negative, over the behaviours of others - especially when that position carries an ability to impose and initiate threats of violence under the colour of law (violence is immoral).
That includes BTW, those who vote ...given the "democratic process" is nothing more than the greater majority establishing itself to impose its beliefs and practices on the minority ...more or less fascism by proxy.
Following your career should prove interesting Senator, and we wish you all the best.
