Somebody interested in history? (aka my 1st post)

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago

Hi everyone!

For my first post here on Steemit, I would like to introduce myself and tell you how I ended up here.

I'm 30 years old and living in Europe. I studied to be a history teacher but I'm currently working as an online marketeer (especially SEO) while writing my history blog (Historicus Rob, but it's in Dutch and @historyrob on instagram) as a hobby.

(yep that's me and the first time I climbed on one of those things - great firsttimer)

Last summer, I got interested in cryptocurrencies and since then I've read tons of articles and watched dozens of videos. And that's how I stumbled upon this community and I must say...it looks great!

I was thinking about starting a history blog (this time not in Dutch but in English) and in my opinion this platform is what I was looking for: easy blogging for a grateful audience and being a part of the cryptoworld.

So are you interested in history? Do you like historical stories, facts, pictures and news? Well, you've come to the right place.

Hope to hear you soon and enjoy the reading!

Everybody should care about history - It is what defines us and awareness of it can also help us to not make the same mistakes again!
Definitely looking forward to some!
Resteemed you via @welcoming, my page for sharing promising newcomers!
Have a great 2018 (on steemit :P)!

welcome to steemit @historyrob, best regards..
hopefully you feel at home here. 😊

Welcome to the Steemit community! Nice start! Well, I‘m no history freak. If so, rather interested in solving prehistoric enigmas. However history is part of my narrations and I like quoting „like trees we need our roots...“ Cryptos, yeah, fascinating! Good luck!

Thank you!

You're welcome to steemit.. history is like the backbone of life itself n it's existence.

Thanks for the welcome!

Great post. Can't wait to hear about more of this 'history' thing ;) ... in English though :p

What lens are you using on your 1200D? I have the same camera but still using the 18-55mm

I'm also still using the 18-55mm but I find it only good enough for 'normal' pictures (so no extreme close-ups or very panoramic pictures)
