Hello everyone, my post today is about William Adolphe Bouguereau.

in introduceyourself •  6 years ago

First of all I introduce myself, my name is Juan Carlos, I am new in the community of Steemit, I am from Caracas Venezuela I do not speak English very well. I am learning on my own, it occurred to me to do my post in Spanish and English to see myself more motivated and practice the language, so I hope you forgive me for my grammatical and orthographic errors.
Without more, here I go with my second post on steemit, I hope you like it!

This artist is William Adolphe Bouguereau. French painter (1825-1905). I do not want to do a biography about him, I want to share some of his works, and comment what I think of them, since some '' critics '' say that he was pedophile because he painted many girls and young women, so without more here the first of the three works I want to tell you about.Captura de pantalla (4).png

In this work we see a naked young woman, with her hair covered by a blue blanket, and crossed legs, if we observe the young woman is in a room in front of a pool of crystalline water that serves as a mirror, in her face and look there is tranquility .

I believe that this artist had very wide-awake human capacities, he could see what many of us do not see, and if you can see you can express what you see, I believe that this artist, like many of his time, expressed through his great works realities competent to the human being and his spiritual search,

I think what the artist wants to express is the innocence of the human being, I will use an oxymoron to make me understand, the innocence of the human conscience.

Let us remember for a moment certain meanings of the elements of the work in the occult.

A cave is a symbol of ignorance remember Plato and his myth of the cave.

The nakedness is the naked consciousness devoid of all that does not serve, free, unattached, naked, raw when it awakens.

A woman who covers her hair is a symbol of chastity, remembering that in the occult chastity is not the same as celibacy.

The crystalline water is a symbol of our sexual energy under our control and that serves as a mirror for our sincere search of "god" or rather of itself.

Let us see the image as our consciousness, naked, sitting cross-legged, passive, in a cave of our subconscious, with a look towards the nothing having a mirror of water in front, in which it can see itself and recognize, awaken and leave the cave and discover new areas of itself.

The source from which I take out the image is wikiart.
I hope you enjoyed my analysis.
