Thankyou Jumoke, and as a person who has been lucky enough to travel my first thought was, "but not enough", and how I have never visited your part of the world--AND i must say that your favorite meal of yams and snails cracked me up; I have always had a thing for snails, although some tell me it's really just the great garlic butter that is so orgiastic. Anyway, I'm in Van Gogh country, and we go to this little town where you can get, like--three dozen snails for five bucks. Wow, finally I was in a position to afford all the smails I could eat! Three dozen. So. I order them. I eat them. And then I realized: I just ate three dozen snails. (In probably three cups of melted butter.) I swear, Jumoke, as I lay there that night, I could feel them crawling up my esophagus and trying to crawl back out of my mouth. Cheers!
