Thanks, Yes that is the downside of using it as entertainment. It can misconstrue the true power of hypnosis and how natural it is for each of us. The types of people who go up on stage to do that stuff are usually exhibitionist. Very similar to the people who gets drunk and then do silly things for attention.
Someone who is really uncomfortable with a suggestion given would not respond; They would either come out of trance or stay in it until the next pleasing suggestion.
Also stage hypnosis has the same effect as peer pressure does. There is a feeling of wanting to do for the audience and hypnotist since you have now volunteered as one of the performers.
