Steemit is a model of unified consciousness (first post)

Note: or should I say the internet is a model of unified consciousness?

Hi there, dear member of the Steemit community. Happy to meet you!

I am Erik, living in The Netherlands for the last 47 years. I have been looking at Steemit from the sideline since last year, but now finally decided to create an account and become a member of the community. Social networks have always intrigued me, as I see them as a model for a unified or universal consciousness. In a universe where everything is interconnected, and where we as the human race will eventually remember how to consciously tap into this interconnected consciousness, we have invented ourselves a beautiful playground to wet our toes, and we called it the internet.

Learning to express the essence of our very being to the whole, without holding back, without being afraid of opinions of others is something that we as a species have to learn. Social media is a big help in learning this skill. And the more the platform that you are expressing yourself on is authentic, decentralized, self-regulated, the more a community can grow as a nice model for unified consciousness and eventually open people up to more ways to interconnect spiritually.

Since I was sixteen years young, I have been attracted to, and learned about personal, cultural, planetary and universal spiritual awakening. At the same time, everything related to tech, computers, internet and lately blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies has proved itself inseparable from my existence here on this planet. These are all tools helping me to connect, learn, explore, have fun, do business and make money, to retrospect and to introspect. To see the world as it is unfolding today in all its beauty and chaos. To watch more and more people waking up to a new world where universal consciousness is what we are and what we breath.

The things I do during the day are all related to spirituality, tech and music (and sleeping) ..

During weekdays I work as a software tester at in full service internet company. At night and in the weekend I play the piano, I sing in some choirs, and proud to be a conductor of a choir. I try to find as much time as possible to meditate, introspect and learn. Further I am always looking for ways to make some money online, invest in crypto and private equity, but always with a very limited amount of money as I need the largest part to feed my family and provide for shelter 😉 Everything as long as I'm having fun, because that's one of the best things to do on this planet!

I hope I will make connections to a bunch of nice people over here. I hope that I will have the inspiration to post things of value as it would not be the first time that I lose interest once the new wears off (just being honest).
