There is no war between blacks and whites, as the media may portray, especially for those that don't live in large black communities it may seem so. I live in Oakland, am black and a lot of black citizens brought flowers, gifts and foods to the OPD. Most of us dislike the police and have varying levels of fear but nobody black that I know wanted to see any police officers killed. The shooter did not speak for black americans, no matter what picture the media decided to show of him.
