as far as san diego is concerned, I Love Ocean Beach. and you aren't so far from Slab city which has a hotspring and is it's whole own world. I'm sure your friends know about it.

    thanks, @inquiringtimes! I actually live in Ocean Beach :-) It's a cool neighborhood. Slab City is on my list to visit, for sure!
