Guys, I am new to steemit so help me understanding the platform.

Guys,

I am new to the community and don't know much about it. Please help me and send me tips to use the steemit.

About My Personal Life:

I am from Delhi, India and I love to travel around the world because it takes me outside of my culture and privilege and reminds me of great inequities in our world. I don't want to wake up one day when I'm 60 years old and say to myself I wish I had done that.

I have traveled(some are road trips in India) a lot for the last 5 years and covered many places(Both national and International). Recently I explored France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy during my summer vacations. Here is my latest family(My wife and daughter) picture from Switzerland:

Recently I learned the French language(I can speak/read/write a little bit :)) so that whenever I visit a French-speaking country then I communicate with their local language. I believe people are more comfortable in their native language. I felt some part was missing whenever I travel to beaches so I am learning swimming these days.

About my profession:

I have 15+ years of experience in designing technology strategy, IT infrastructure and leading multiple teams to build enterprise-class software products. Hands-on expertise on a wide range of technology stacks and helping customers achieve business objectives.

I like solving technology and business problems efficiently and constructively while exploring new platforms to meet the business requirements. My focus is on launching a minimum viable product in weeks time and helping stakeholders to see greater picture to stay focus and execute.

As an angel investor, I have invested in six startup companies in different domains like daycare school chain, Travel, Micro-financing, Taxi and much more.

I love morning walk, reading books about startups and challenges faced by a new startup, and indulging my love of exploring new places.

    Hello ipragmatech! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

    1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
    2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
    3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
    4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
