My name is John (Jack) McKeown.
I go to college at the University of Minnesota, Duluth and study Computer Science and Mathematics.
Over the last few months, I've been getting really into cryptocurrencies and just today discovered steemit.
I decided I'd give it a try.
In a lot of ways, it kind of reminds me of reddit, but so far, I wish that the communities were more tangible like subreddits rather than just "tags and topics".
It'd be cool if each user had a list of pages that they subscribed to (not just other users).
Other than that, it seems really cool! I see great potential.

I just joined yesterday too! I joined because I got into crypto recently too, and I want to I guess learn more about it on here, and read other peoples blogs about different things as well!
I totally agree.. there are ways that this could be made more user-friendly so its easier to explore and find cool stuff. I think it's just that Steemit is so new, the more people that join and use I guess the sooner they will make it a bit smoother :)
