Hello Steemit!
If you haven't already guessed, I am new to the Steemit world. I am very excited to get started, but not entirely sure where to begin.
First, a little about me! My name is Jackie and I am currently 26 years old. I was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario and I am a proud Hamiltonian (a little too proud if you ask my boyfriend). I went to McMaster University for Labour Studies and absolutely fell in love with it.

In terms of what I do in my free time, the options are endless. I am a foodie (but not snobby), an avid reader, music junkie, self proclaimed movie buff, animal lover, and a boardgame connoisseur. I also love to travel and over the past few years I have been to Ireland and Jamaica. I also do a lot of local travelling.

Not to be gross or overly mushy, but I definitely consider myself lucky. I have met a great guy who enjoys doing a lot of the same things I do. I have always been on the nerdy side of cool, and it's nice to be able to share that with someone who isn't constantly judging you. My hopes for Steemit are that I will write about what I enjoy. Everything from movies, photography, travel and whatever else I can think of.

Welcome to Steemit Jackie! That's the be dating profile I've seen in a long time. (They never really have enough pictures of Ireland in my opinion) Glad to have you here. I also love movies and photography, I'm an adventure filmmaker myself, I've been doing it full time for a few years. I post some tutorials and stuff about it on my blog, so check it out if you're interested! There are lots of spam accounts on steemit so it might help you to do something to help verify you're a real person. Lots of people post a photo of themselves holding a sign where they've written steemit, their username, and the date. You can also use your other social media accounts to verify you're real, like have your steemit username linked in your Facebook bio and facebook linked here. It's not mandatory, but it helps. I hope you do well here on this platform. Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything.

Hahaha! Who wouldn't be impressed by Ireland photos? It's definitely high on my bucket list. Like I said, the photo isn't mandatory, but supposedly it helps. If you just keep posting great content that isn't obviously stolen from some stock photo site you'll probably be alright.

I've been playing more card games lately like Dominion and Cards Against Humanity. But I really enjoy things like Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride.

Thank You! It's hard to say what my absolute favourite boardgame is, but I think I would go with Carcassone. It is a really fun game. Have you played it before? What is your favourite boardgame?

As far as boardgames, they are the "old ones", life, clue, monopoly. I used to play war boardgames and sports boardgames when I was a kid. Strat-o-Matic baseball and football were the cat's meow to me back then. Also, Blitzkreig, and Afrika Corp as far as war games.
I don't have as much time for games, though reading this, makes me think I should. Don't have a video game system. Our daughter took that with her when she got married.

The classics are great to. I have always loved playing life. It was a game I always used to play with my grandparents when I was little.
I find I have been playing boardgames a lot more lately. In terms of video games I am a sucker for the classics (sonic the hedgehog, mario cart, mario world etc.). What system did you have before?
