Hello Steemit. Here is an introduction to me!

So where to begin? I suppose I'll tell you a bit about me. I'm what you would probably consider impish. I am not very responsible when it comes to life. I'm more of a big kid trapped inside of an adult. The only thing I tend to be serious about is my job. The few times I have ventured out on my own I have created chaos and disaster in my wake. I don't want to adult. It's really no fun at all. My kids have come to the conclusion that dear old dad will always need a handler. I just love life way too much to mucky it up with responsibility. I get that people want to set roots, build families and settle down. I even understand how to do it. The one thing I can't wrap my head around is why. Why fill your life with worry and frustration? This bill, that bill, the other bill. Every month! Looks like chains on a wall to me. It just seems completely yucktastic! So I earn, turn my money over to them, they make sure I have spending cash and any of my responsibilities are taken care of. I enjoy my good times and freedom and they make sure my adulating façade stays in place. It's a win-win.
So why am I here? There are a couple of reasons.
Firstly, my oldest son and a friend of his turned me on to Steemit. They thought it would be a perfect fit for me. My views on life center on one major component. Be the best me that I can be as a human being. I have been posting toward that effect on FB for years. I try not to get too caught up in politics or social issues except to point out the absurdity of them. I do have opinions, I just choose not to 'beat a horse that's already whooped' so to speak. I tend to focus on what you can do for yourself and for others that can help build a better country. Nothing was ever built from the top down. Change starts at the bottom. With me. And you. I'm honestly hoping to gain an audience with Steemit that carries that message further than me to you.
Secondly, I have 3 grandsons who I care for very deeply. They are the future and I do what I can to make sure they understand how the world really works. One is in NY and I don't see him nearly as often as I'd like. He is growing so fast! I live with the other two, age 3 and 7.

I am using Steemit as a bonding agent, stepping stone, and creative outlet for my oldest grandson.
He is hungry. He loves to let his imagination loose. I, too, love to let my imagination run around 'what-ifs' and build stories. So together, over the next year, we are going to try to build an awesome story and bring it to the masses. It will be a learning process because it's new territory but I'm sure it will be exciting for us and I hope entertaining for anyone who follows us. We will be posting every week on our progress and we welcome all criticisms because I understand (and he will come to learn) that criticism, even negative criticism, is never a negative thing on the whole. It helps us to learn and grow and possibly spark us in another direction we didn't contemplate.
