Today, I launched the Patreon for funding the Spotlights project. Spotlights is about highlighting RPGs I think have been overlooked, underappreciated, or forgotten over time. I’m going to be blogging about these games here at steemit once a month. If the Patreon does well, I will be blogging more frequently.
You can find the Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/jburneko
There’s multiple levels of participation:
The Commentator and Advisor tiers are for people who want to talk to me in a private Discourse chat room about the project.
The Players and Game Master tiers are for people who want to participate in the “fake” game contest I’m going to be running each month.
There’s an ambitious Online Laboratory which is about organizing online play sessions of the games I’m writing.
And of course you can always support the project by upvoting the posts here. Thank you for your support and hope 2018 is a happy year for you.
I vastly prefer per-post to per-month Patreons, and I don't have a lot of budget for this sort of thing, but I'm signed up for now!

Thanks. I thought about doing a per-poster model but decided against it because I really do want to work at a fixed steady rate.

It's a trust thing, I think. Every single monthly pledge I've undertaken has ended up producing nothing and quietly siphoning money to no effect. I'd rather my pledge be an incentive than a temptation, heh.
