Introduction: Nerdy Homeschooler :)

Hi!

My name is Molly, I am 16 years old and I am currently in my second semester of my junior year of high school. I have been home schooled since preschool, and I have loved it. I am the oldest of four girls; I have a 14 year old sister named Katie, an 11 year old sister named Lindsey and a 7 year old sister named Josie. I live on 5 acres and my family has 2 dogs, 3 cats, and lots of chickens. I am what a lot of people would call a nerd, however there are definitely classes I absolutely despise (chemistry being the main one).

I plan on using this account to post articles about three main subject areas. The first being homeschooling and my experiences and advice I have. Ever since I was young I have been extremely interested in teaching and all that goes into homeschooling; such as planning and finding curriculum. In the 5th and 6th grade I would actually plan my own curriculum and come up with classes I wanted to do, then I would ask my mom if I could do them (although I was never good at following through with those classes). I am that kid who reads all the articles about how to home school even though I am the student and not the teacher. All the options that are out there for homeschooling have always fascinated me, and I look forward to being able to share what curriculum and programs have worked for me and my family and which ones haven’t worked as well. I would also love to use this platform as a way to create and publish printable agenda pages and life organizing tools, as well as home school planning tools.

The second type of article I plan on posting will be articles in which I publish my original poetry and interesting things I have discovered about poetry and writing in general. I find a lot of enjoyment in writing poetry, I have actually been taking a class in poetry this school year. I’m looking forward to having a place to post some of the poems I write. I find poetry to be a wonderful way to express emotions and it can be very therapeutic.

The third type of article I will be publishing occasionally will be about different lessons and advice I have gained over the past few years for Christian teenage girls, as well as good devotions and verses I have found.
