Hi! Let's talk about books and dogs!

Hi!!! I jumped the gun trying to figure out this new (to me) platform, and am writing my Introduce Yourself post second. Which is generally how I like to do thing: out of order!

My name is Jena, I'm a writer and a reader. I do a ton of book reviews on my blog, and am super into taking photos of books and posting them on Instagram.

That's Iyla. She's the real boss around this house. Seriously, eight pounds of boss bitch right there! She also has her own Instagram page, where she gives her opinions on the books we read. Mostly she agrees with me, but I'm pretty sure she's only into the reading for the cuddles.

I'm sure she'll also be talked about on here. A lot.

I also blog about mental health quite a bit. I have anxiety and depression, and am a huge advocate of being able to talk openly about mental health. Dealing with these issues can be lonely and frustrating. I hope that by talking about my own experiences, I might help make that journey a little less of both.

Before I abandoned the corporate world in search of my writing dreams, I was a business consultant, director of operations for a small group of franchise stores for 7-Eleven, and owned and operated a 7-Eleven for four years. My business experience is something I'm proud of, and hope to explore some of the lessons I've learned periodically.

My husband has been an investor in BitCoin and the AltCoins for quite a while. He has been pestering me to get involved with this platform for a bit. I'm glad I finally took the plunge!

I love talking about all my obsessions, both new and old! I look forward to learning more and meeting new friends!
