I'm Jillian.
I've started a new Vlog about my experiences as an expat who fell in love, moved to Germany, learned a new language (sort of?), had a baby in a new culture (after being here 4 months) and just the crazy things that go along with that. After starting over in 5 different countries, and having been around the world at least twice, I learnt a few things along the way.
This is just a basic introduction video letting you know what to expect from my posts. :-)
Maybe @dtube would be a better alternative for your videos :) Getting away from YT seems not to be a bad choice these days! greets!

Follow individuals who share similar interests as yourself, stay away from spammy posters who post meme after meme, and consistency is your friend! It's not always easy to post everyday, this is understandable, but I recommend at least 5 days out of the week if your goal is to earn well for your content. Readers like consistency, and quality. Give them both, and they will bless you with their up votes. Pay close attention to your steem power, and manage it accordingly. There are sites from the steemit community that will ease this process, such as https://www.steemnow.com. If you can put these fundamentals into this platform, you should be able to do just fine. Thanks for the tip and the kind words. I'm actually 36, 33 when I moved here. I am actually a bit confused on how to FIND people who have similar interests as me... any advice?

Absolutely! I just opened up a discord server called Steemit-Friends, topics of all kinds, with inspirational writers, and a morally driven community. You would fit right in! The link is at the top of my feed if interested! @futuremind

Great video! You have a lovely, warm voice and I felt more relaxed just listening to you. Another ex-pat here. Originally British but now living in Austria. It was actually the other way around for me, I moved for adventure and ended up staying for love, but I can totally relate to your struggle with learning German. I'm still having trouble with all that grammar. :D Looking forward to your next post!
