Hello Steemit | Introduction | Johnny FD | Digital Nomad | Entrepreneur

It's about damn time. One of the readers of my blog introduced me to Steemit almost a year ago just a few months after it launched and I was smart enough to have made an account...but dumb enough not to have started posting until now. Honestly, it wasn't that I didn't like the platform, or the fact that I was traveling around Thailand at the time. It was because it didn't hurt yet. Blockchain and cryptocurrency was something I wanted others to research and innovate, as even though I hated paypal enough to wish there was an alternative. But it wasn't until now that I realized how important it is for our future .

But first things first. 

Who am I? 

Some would call me a digital nomad.

Others know me from my blog or youtube channel.

But here on Steemit, I'm just another screen name. So here's my formal introduction.

Steemit and Crypto 

I think this is a super cool community and want to support in any way I can and bash on traditional banking services as much as I can in the process. Bank of America Business is taking $15 every time I DEPOSIT money into my account, not even talking about the ridiculous fees they are charging when I withdraw. 

Even worse is the fact that Paypal stole over $6,000 from me and has held it now for over a year with no replies to my emails or inquiries on why they did it or when they will return it.

My friend had Payoneer lock up $18,000 of his money and deleted his account with no warning. 

We need an alternative. And now that we are digital nomads and can work anywhere in the world, why are we still tied down to traditional currency, terrible banks, and ridiculous fees.

Where am I now?

I've tempoary left Asia as I've spent the last 6 summers there and as much as I love Thailand, I needed a change. What better place to be that is just as cheap than Eastern Europe?

Where is your favorite place to homebase? For me, it's been Chiang Mai, but now that I'm looking for a change, I'm considering either Lisbon Portugal, Warsaw Poland, or maybe even here...
