This place can be a bit rough around the edges at times and the beginning, for the most part, can feel too slow but don't let that discourage you.
Check the place out, talk to people, read what they have to share, find those who create the kind of content you'd enjoy seeing in your feed. When you feel brave enough seak out some of the discord servers to chat with various groups of people from steemit, check out if any of them feel right to you.
