Hi Steemit. My name is Yulia Kurikhina. By education I am an economist, but I was always attracted by creativity. In my childhood I was very fond of knitting, drawing, doing all sorts of crafts with my own hands.
Once, after learning that there is such a kind of creativity as ceramic floristry, I realized that this is mine! I had a burning desire to learn how to make such beautiful flowers, which can hardly be distinguished from the real ones. At this time I was on maternity leave, so I did not have the opportunity to study ceramic floristry in schools. And I began to study everything myself. A lot of information was found on the Internet: I studied master classes of other masters, ways of working with clay, the subtleties of its coloring. That's the method of trial and error, I mastered ceramic floristry.
In my works I try to convey the beauty of the flowers. For this, I study every flower in detail: its texture, color, size and shape, trying to get as close to the present as possible.
