A lil' intro....
Hi! I'm Karin and I hail from the land of good food, Penang, Malaysia. An island located on the northern tip of Peninsular Malaysia, Penang is famous for its glorious food, beaches and heritage buildings. Penangites, as we are known are notorious for our discerning tastebuds and our bargaining skills :)
Having born and bred on the island all my life, it dawned on me one day that I have hit my glass ceiling after working non stop after college . So I bundled all my possessions over the weekend, stuffed everything into my 3 year old matchbox car (Perodua Kancil) to chase the bright lights of Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.
Twelve years later, having worked in various industries in corporate, small medium enterprises (SME) and startups helming various positions in sales, marketing, business development, digital marketing and even a short stint as a business journalist, I was ready to trade my corporate suits and jackets (and panty hoses too!) for ripped jeans and tank tops.
That was a couple of months ago...
This blog will document my journey as a former corporate escapee turned digital nomad, my pet peeves and my uncensored views of life, tech and entrepreneurship. Join me as I embark on this journey, one step at a time...
