I have been on steemit for about 3 weeks now and it has been very interesting.
I used the first weeks to try to understand the platform. Now I think its time to make an real introduction of me as an person.
My name is Lasse Ehlers, I am 38 years old, living in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have been studying Economics at Copenhagen University and are holdning an master degree in economics. I started my carrier by working as an IT chief back in 1997-2000, for an company that worked with political strategy and such.
I after that had a few jobs for government administrations, like the science ministry of Denmark, the main prosecutor of Denmark and others.
At the age of 26 I decided that I wanted to be an fulltime musician. Yes, I know its an radical carrier change attempt, but I wanted to do something different in life. So I began to build an rental business for rehearsal rooms in central Copenhagen. The idea was that the business would potentially finance my carrier as an musician. I succeed to make this business profitable and running with low input of time on my side. So in 2005-2006 I had time to make my music and be an fulltime musician.
Then I meet 2 woman in one year, that both got pregnant with me.
It was a big mess, as the first one left me while she was pregnant and it really blew my life. So I never got to make the music I planned and after some years, I decided to end this plan to be an musician. I was married some years to the second woman and then that ended. Fortunately I am now seeing my son, from the second relationship, unfortunately I dont see my daughter from the first relationship.
Since then I have been more or less in constant person crisis, due to the complicated family situation. Its really hard to loose contact with a child! I have worked in temporary jobs and tried to start different start-ups. I was working seriously on making an peer to peer lending company, but when I saw bitcoin in around april 2013, I stopped the peer to peer lending project I was working on and began to spend a lot of time researching everything connected to cryptocurrencies.
Today I am not sure which direction I want to go, I have different ideas, like:
- making an cryptocurrency exchange in Denmark.
- going back to work in a government job.
- being an steemit blogger.
- designing new economically systems based on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
- Something completely different connected with the freedom movement.
In other words I am in unknown territory, with all these new amazing possibilities that cryptocurrencies and blockchain have brought.
I am open to change and I definitely need to find the best project for me personally to work on. At the moment I am in an exploring fase, just keeping up with the new ideas and possibilities can, easily take up the time.
I hope this introduction give some valuable information about me as a person and I hope this steemit venture will last for some years or more. Its very exciting to follow the posts and the development of steem and related services.
Happy steeming.
Lasse Ehlers

Thank you for the welcome, I am very excited about this site, even when I made only around $1 on 19 posts.

Nice to meet you.
How about blockchain + IoT? This is where I am heading. I think there will be some game changers in this space, and sooner, rather than later.

Nice to meet you to.
Blockchain + IoT, do you mean barcodes, etc on an blockchain? Will you elaborate about it?

@lasseehlers no, I mean 'Internet of Things' + blockchain micropayments. For example, small weather sensors, connected to the internet, being able to provide aggregated rainfall data for farmers, which in turn can make insurance payments to farmers when there is bad farming weather, etc etc.
So in other words, micro-payments on a machine-to-machine basis.

Ok, I am trying to understand what it is exactly you want to work on.
I never really understood the term "internet of things", but I looked it up yesterday.
So basically its the idea of any device connected to the blockchain? So are you working on making a new blockchain for that or?

Internet of things just means small devices like kettles, refrigerators, cars, sensors - all sorts of things connected to the internet with an I.D.
I am looking into ideas that would connect such devices to the Ethereum blockchain, which would allow such devices to make tiny machine-to-machine micro-payments/transact units of value.

I am thinking about more steemit posts. I have to say I want to make the post excellent quality, so after doing some "experimental" posts, I am now more focused on making the content better quality and spend more time on each post.
