Hi Steemit, I'm Gwyneth

I am temporarily living in New Brunswick Canada. I signed up to Steemit thanks to Gregory Mannarino. I'm certainly not here because I am a crytocurrency fan. I have no idea how to be one. I didn't care about Bitcoin until I started reading Clif High's web bot reports. I followed the price when the webbots started mentioning the $888 number. I took all the Bitcoin books out of the library at that point and vowed to figure it out. I looked at the covers and then the books sat in a pile until the due date and back to the library they went. If there is a post on Steemit or info anywhere called "Crytocurrencies for Dummies" could some direct me to the source? Or, Gregory, if you read this, could you come over to our house and teach us all about cryptocurrencies and I will cook you the best vegan Italian dinner you have ever had.

My real passions are healthy eating, gardening and doing my bit to stop the torture of innocent beings by being a vegan. I became vegetarian in my early 20's. Actually I was a lacto/ovo/pesco vegetarian. WTF! So I still ate eggs, tons of cheese and fish. After reaching 170 lbs and knowing both my parents had died at an early age of heart disease, I discovered the only diet scientifically proven to prevent and reverse heart disease, a low fat plant based (vegan) diet.

I was fortunate enough to be able to get off the hamster wheel early (aka working for a living). Now I spend my days cooking delicious healthy meals, tending to my garden and raising as much trouble at the provincial and local government levels as I can. Life is much more fun now.

What do I have to contribute here: food pictures, referenced or anecdotal info on how to be healthy you will never get from your doctor, gardening stories like flea beetles just ate all my bok choi (apparently you can use that plant as a trap crop), pictures of my fur babies and the occasional rant about something that has managed to disturb my calm serene existence. Well that's a stretch! You haven't met my neighbors! Yes, I might have something to say about them too! Stay tuned!

Welcome on Steemit @leopotato! I'm also Canadian and vegan. I'M French Canadian from the Province of Quebec! Have fun!

Thanks.

Hi Gwyneth. Welcome to Steemit. Stephen

Thanks Stephan. I have lots to learn. Like how do comments end up in the order they are? Does that involve steem power or some such?

Hi Gwyneth, I found out about Steemit from Manarino also. And I'm also into gardening. Checkout my posts.

You have a very nice garden. Raised beds sure makes life easier doesn't it!

Thanks. Yes I think raised beds are worth it.

Hi @leopotato
Welcome to Steemit. You're doing a great job here. Lots of votes and look at your $ balance already! Wow. My introduction made $1.27 hahaha. Guess you are more interesting that me, LOL.

So what makes you live "temporarily" in New Brunswick? I ask as I recently migrated to Cape Breton. Sounds like we have a lot in common (not the veganism however) but gardening, health, living on the east coast, crypto currencies - heck, we're on here, right!

I hope you like your Asian Slaw for supper tonight. Rainy there? Greening up nicely here but wet, wet, wet.

Cheers
Eveline

The slaw was good.

I said living in New Brunswick "temporarily" because I sure hope that's the plan. Would like to be back in BC eventually. I think I will make that a future story.

Thanks to you I now own some ethereum. It took two days (not my doing) but you were the push I needed to give it a try. Couldn't use Quadriga though. TD bank's new access card made that impossible.

Upvoted and Followed! :-D

Thanks flatrider. Checked out your intro story. Interesting. Following you too.

Thank you so much. :-)

Welcome Gwyneth 😃follow me and I will follow you 👍

Will do.

This helped a fair amount. Thanks a bunch for this. Thanks for the welcome as well.

Hey gwyneth,
I'm also here because of Greg @marketwatch. I also am into gardening. Have a great day.

Thanks Florio. I see you are in North Carolina. Do you have flea beetles in your garden. I actually miss the foot long slugs from BC Canada where I am from.

I haven't seen the flea beetles.... we do get some beetles in June but I think they are called June Bugs and don't mess with most of my garden.

Flea beetles are no larger than the head of a pin. They just look like a speck of dirt then all of a sudden your seedlings are dead.

Welcome Gwyneth! Like you, Greg led me here as well, just posted my intro blog AND love to garden, tho I live a far piece from you. Look forward to your contributions! Nice to meet you :)

Florida, yes, quite far! Lots of people from here head to Florida for the winter. Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome @leopotato to the Steemit community. Enjoyed reading your introduction post. Will be fun to read your future posts and get to know you a little better.

Thanks suzique. I just checked out your introduction and picture. Too funny. I swear I did not see your post before I did mine. Great gardeners think alike! I am following you.

Yes I couldn't believe the similar pictures. Knew you were a kindred spirit right away!

Hello from Ontario, I still watch Greg M on Youtube. Wow I'm impressed, I am not the only one who still uses a library. LOL Welcome

Thanks @gardengirlcanada. I commented on your has the sun moved post. Clif High's webbots reports suggest us gardeners are in for some trying times ahead. Laughing re your library comment.

Welcome to steemit!

Welcome to Steemit. I hope that you enjoy yourself getting to know our community.

Thanks. I could spend a lot of time here. Might have to set myself a time limit, hehe.

Nice to have you on board! Follow me at https://steemit.com/@bitgeek

Thanks. Following you. Are you still drinking your green drink @bitgeek?

Guzzling the stuff 😀😀. Beech body mission underway.

Hey I'm also here because of Greg ! I also don't have any bitcoin, and I like your hobbies :)

If I knew what a wallet is I would buy an ethereum maybe. It's about all I can afford right now. LOL! There is a lot less to think about out in the garden!

Might I suggest using EXODUS as a wallet. It's easy to use and will hold 7 different coins right now. They may add more. But you need to purchase your crypto currency elsewhere and a good exchange in Canada is https://www.quadrigacx.com. They are based in Vancouver. Worked well for me. You can purchase just a bit of BTC there or ETH.

Thanks for the info. I can't use Exodus because I am on ios system. So I have a JAXX wallet as of today and i signed up at Quadriga and everything went fine until I tried to do a bank transfer and TD put a stop to that. The only access card TD gives out is the one I have. TD was no help. They just said it's not their fault the co doesn't take TD Visa. I don't have a freaking visa. I want to transfer cash. How are you doing it?

Welcome to Steemit @leopotato My first upvote for you.greets from germany

Cool, thank you.

Great that you joined us here! See you around!

Thanks bart2305.

Welcome @leopotato! I listen to Greg as well! Looking forward to more of your posts!

Thanks @goofigure. Loved your farm pics.

hey thanks!

Great looking garden setup you've got there. Welcome to steemit. Nice of you to join us.

I checked your blog out and got lost . Wow! Lots of info there. I will be checking it out further. Yes, there are good and bad things about those white plastic garden beds. They turn into ice cubes in Atlantic Canada winters and then expand.

I'm sure your winter's there are quite similar to the winters here in Boston. So I understand the freezing problem :)

What a wonderful post Gwyneth. There's not enough people that are able to garden and are good at it. And its even more awesome to know you fight for those who need defended. It's an honour to meet you. 😊

Thanks, eh!
