Introducing myself.. an Artist and Musician

Hi Steemians, I’m excited to be a part of this this platform!

I’m a musician, singer songwriter, visual artist and quasi philosopher that is passionate about social issues affecting our world.

I’ve been on Steemit for a couple weeks now, being introduced to the platform by friends @jaybird and @dan-atstarlite.

MUSIC
I’m a professional musician, and writing and performing music is a huge passion. I entered my first Steemit Open Mic and it was an awesome experience. I shared my original song and ended up winning 2nd place in week 71! I look forward to sharing more of my music with you every week, and getting to know the awesome music community here.

VISUAL ART

I’m an illustrator inspired by inner and outer nature and surrealism. I use mostly pen and pencil, but paint as well.

Philosophy/social issues

I’m passionate in trying to do what I can in trying to help others. I have been a facilitator for an at risk youth music program where we taught music and songwriting. Helping others find confidence and self expression through art is a major passion of mine. Here’s a pic of us and the youth we worked with.

I was raised by two environmentalists who were some of the original members of greenpeace, so I’m also very passionate about conservation and the planet. I love travelling and photography as well, and go down to Mexico every year.

STEEMIT

Being on Steemit for only a short while and I already absolutely love it. I enjoy the reading your posts, the sense of community, connecting with other artists and fully believe in the platform and what it’s trying to accomplish. I’ve been convincing my other creative friends to join daily. I’m happy to be here, and I look forward to learning more about crypto, while meeting more of you along the way.
