When I was 19, I started a company called Lisa's Study Guides in Melbourne, Australia. I studied and worked as a Pharmacist, but eventually quit to pursue my business full time in 2015. This is actually my second post here, because I realised I made a mistake with my first post! I'm super excited to be a part of this community, so here's a little about myself:
My biggest accomplishments related to business include:
- Winning an Australian 30under30 award for Young Entrepreneur 2017
- Becoming finalist for Victorian Young Achievers Award 2018
- Being asked to do a TEDx talk at prestigous Melbourne University (soon in September)
I'd love to share my experiences in entrepreneurship and business over the past decade (I'm now 28!). Beyond that, I have an identity outside of just a business owner:
-I love reading (my favourite book is 1984)
-Dancing (I do urban/hiphop but I feel that I'm more naturally skilled in jazz/funk). Here's the latest video I'm in:
-Eating (if you don't like eating, let's not be friends :P I'm a massive sweet tooth, which makes the next thing on this list much harder...)
-Fitness (I follow the SWEAT app, and it's done wonders. I work out ~4 times weekly!)
So, heading into the future I'd love to share more of my experiences, opinions and overall, have a fantastic time chatting to all of you!
