Nap-Motivated Mum Seeking Fellow True Crime Enthusiasts

Hey y'all.

My name is B.
Well, actually it's not. It's a trendy name that my mother butchered in spelling, so I prefer to go by B.
I'm also a big fan of the anonymity.

I'm new to the whole Steemit thing (obviously), so figured I'd provide an introduction.

As you (now) know, my name is B.
I'm a 27-year-old professional content writer and the mother of two wonderful boys (aged 2 and 6 weeks). Although most of my days are spent making truck noises, saying "wow" while pretending to be genuinely amazed, and wiping copious amounts of boogers and spit-up, in my free-time I love to research true crime cases.

I'm not too big on bombers or arsonists- I find the indirect nature of their acts to express cowardice. I'm more interested in murderers, serial killers, and the people that get up close and personal, rejecting any type of human compassion while they butcher their victims without a second thought.

Not sure where all you wonderful Steemers are from, but I live in Canada and we have recently been facing an epidemic of missing and murdered indigenous women. Although Canada is often portrayed as the "nice guy" of the international landscape, our historical relationship with our indigenous people is as appalling and shameful as any American slavery-related actions.

Our racists attitudes have continued to propagate throughout the times, extending to institutions such as the justice system, and ultimately affecting the investigative efforts being put forth towards cases involving these indigenous women.

That's the shit I don't like.

Although I'm not sure where my Steemit adventures will guide me, I will be posting articles regarding Canada's missing and murdered indigenous women as a method of spreading awareness. In posting these articles, I also hope to bring a sense of the individual to the forefront. Too often their faces and stories are washed out by harrowing numbers and statistics.

Anyways, I would love to connect with fellow true crime enthusiasts and armchair investigators.
