Hello to all that find the time to look over this little post.
I am a 23 year old former Youtuber known as Avengeline but I had given up on creating content. As many people nowadays do, I've been battling depression for a long time but it has gotten more and more severe over the past year. I had lost all interest in the things that I love and I am only finding my way back to music very slowly.
A few days ago I heard from a friend about Steemit and it kinda seemed like an opportunity to start sharing my music again, on a whole new platform that isn't as demanding as Youtube. I feel like maybe here I can create something when I feel like it and don't do it when my inspiration is gone but I'll still be fine.
Here are a few tracks from my older days. I'm doing all kinds of genres but I love movie soundtracks a lot so that is where my main inspiration comes from.

I can feel you, I am as well fighting depression currently and music is one of the only things that still make my heart feel like its pumping actual life through my veins, which is a feeling I usually don't feel anymore. Music helps me feeling like a child again, just dancing and by that doing what your body desires, shaking it all off. But that usually only lasts for a few minutes. I can only wish you the best and that you stay strong! I really loved your songs :)

What i found out over the past year is that i need people in my life for inspiration. Seems like it can be hard sometimes to create self inspiration vs. receiving it from a person that is close to one. Having such a "inspiration source" if you will, can be very motivating and enable clearer thinking. Be warned however, the intensity of the relationships you have. To intense can be overwhelming. I choose and try to be myself, without worrying about the consequenses.
Generally speaking, one should not be afraid of opening themselves up to a few selected loved ones.
Remember, if it feels right at that moment- it is the right thing.

Well I guess I'm on my way again :)
I guess that's true for a lot of people. Interestingly it was just the other way around for me. I had a lot of people around me that gave me a lot of love but somehow I guess I just felt overwhelmed. I am not actually bad at socializing but I need a lot of space sometimes and maybe I just burdened myself too much for too long. I would also argue though that if you don't love yourself it's even harder to love others. But thank you very much for sharing your thoughts with me there's a lot of truth in what you're saying. And I am very happy your comment wasn't just a simple welcome comment. It was just right :)

Welcome to Steem :) Post at your own pace and never feel pressured to be a slave to the system. Youtube is very demanding and demonization is a huge problem there. It doesn't help when Youtube never communicates to content creators and leaves them to fend for themselves while they do things behind their backs. You have a nice voice do not feel afraid and not pursue something you are passionate about. Enjoy, looking forward to your content.

Thank you! It feels very nice to have the reassurance that you can just be you at any time you want to. Although I wasn't a big Youtuber I always felt like you were just expected to function at any given point and that people started losing interest or never had any because you did not have an uploading schedule.

Be sure to check out Dtube which is similar to YouTube but built on the Steem blockchain. I don’t really make videos but I think it could be a great resource for you! I’m no expert but I have seen many upload to Dtube and then embed the video in their Steem posts and it helps a lot with Monetization.
Be patient and persistent because it’s time consuming to gain traction here but I think you will do just fine! Have a beautiful day!
