Despite the impressive sounding title, I'm a classic underachiever!
Hi, my name is Vin, and yes, I do believe that I am a classic underachiever. I try to placate myself by announcing that I'm a late bloomer to anyone and everyone who will listen. It isn't a complete fabrication, as being judged a late bloomer can only occur after the fact.
I do hold a medical degree, I am a professor of Health Sciences and I am currently in nursing school working towards my RN license. The sequence of events that led to this is a long and somewhat ridiculous story that I think would be better told in a post dedicated solely to that. And in all honesty I think I need to put a ton of work in to truly do it justice.
Why am I here? Well, I've been wanting to write for a while now and the compulsion had become especially strong over the last few months. I searched for someplace where I could display this ode to my own ridiculousness and discovered Steemit. It was an absolutely natural fit. I am a bit of blockchain enthusiast and when I discovered this new, and dare I say, revolutionary platform on the blockchain, I knew I was home. I lurked for a bit to feel out the vibe and see the quality of content and came away very impressed. You Steemers are amazing! Wait, do we refer to ourselves as Steemers? Is that appropriate? it seems appropriate. Anyway, as I said, you guys and gals are awesome!
What will I be writing about? Everything! I am going to admit to you right now that I have a bit of an unfocused mind. That is why I titled my page Lucid Prattle. It will be a lot of nonsense about a wide variety of topics (prattle) but I promise it will all make sense (lucid). I suspect that I may revisit politics, science and my beloved New York Knicks (The Unicorn and French Prince forever) often. Whatever it is, it should be interesting, at least to me anyway. Ha!

Welcome aboard the Steem ship and I hope you enjoy the time here. Seems as though you need to tell that story about nursing school, medical degree, professor, etc etc as I bet that is interesting.
