Hi fellow Steemians,

This is my first post, and I’m really excited about it. A friend introduced me recently, and I was blown away with all the people and content here in this community.

So Who is Lulita?

I had the guts to drop out my last year of Medical School!
I was 10 months away to become a Doctor in Cuba when I left my Medical career to emigrate to US and pursue my dreams. This has been one of the best decisions of my life so far!

As an immigrant, I went through a lot of struggles the first few years, but it was worth it because I’m living most of my dreams right now!

Imagine if you were the only owner of your time?
Think about this question for a second...
I can say life is all about that, isn't it?
Certainly, It's more than that… I’m all about helping others achieve this time freedom too.

I already know that "lived happily ever after" were stories from Disney (I create my own happiness from inside because nobody or nothing makes me happy). I found out I'm my best ally, and now I laugh at things that before made me cry. I recognize those who are my real friends, and I enjoy looking at them in silence.

To me, be somewhere with somebody is a choice, not an obligation. I don't do diets. I take care of my health to keep my life in balance. As a woman, I personally think it's more important to have a brain than have a fake body (That's why I don't take years from my life, I put life into my years).

I recognize a hug and a cuddle that slow down my time as well as a great conversation. I have this remarkable feeling of "self-acceptance" although I'm still a work in process. I never seek revenge, I move on and let karma do the dirty work for me. I have accumulated lot of stories that cause me unexpected smiles. Stories that gives me the same glow when I was a teenager but now with the sensuality of a woman. I live one day at the time pursuing what I really want, and I recognize with certainty, what I don't want.

I have been working from home with my husband for the past 10 years while raising 2 children and 2 dogs. They are the ones that really shines my days.
As a mom, I’m in the life stage now of dealing with teenager’s moods, guiding them toward their future, and experiencing the craziness of teaching them how to be first time drivers (I think this is a big challenge)

My hobby? I’m very passionate about Vintage Volkswagens… Besides having luxury cars, I prefer to drive my old beetle on a daily basis. Why?

I get to meet all kinds of new people: Tow truck drivers, mechanics, and random good Samaritans on the side of the road. My hands are rarely clean, and I smell gasoline most of the time when driving my old bug.

Summer time in Florida feels like an oven without A/C, and my clothes sometimes get some "character" stains. I avoid highways like it is poison, and I can experience good adrenaline for the lack of air bags and road safety. I feel closer to God praying to arrive at my destination, but in other cases my "vocabulary" increases when I don't arrive.

Beside all of that, I love seeing people on the road smiling with thumps up, punching at each other, or telling me a good old fashion beetle story from decades ago.

I hope to meet a lot a new people here and build some great friendships.
