One day I read:

“Our life isn’t ours, it’s just the history we have told of it. Told to others, but mostly told to ourselves”

I couldn’t agree more, but, let’s do this and let’s do it right.

My name is Maria Eugenia Rincon Castillo, but you can call me Maggie. I’m a Venezuelan lady who arrived to this world 22 years ago, one 22 august, in a cloudy afternoon. The first and only child of my parents, and a very expected one. I’m the result of artificial insemination, a science baby; pretty cool uh? 

One way or another that always made me feel special, that I’ve come to this planet for a greater purpose!

My first vivid memory takes place in a corner of my mind where I’m not sure if I was dreaming or just living, either way, life is a dream isn’t it?

I remember that I was crying and crying like a little bitch, I didn’t want to go to school, I just wanted to stay home, in my bubble, with my mom and probably watch some soap opera with her. She’s the woman I admire the most, not because I think she’s perfect, I absolutely don’t, but because she’s the purest soul I ever met, and I’m really lucky to have her as my mom. My dad on the other way it’s another story, one that’s much more complicated, but I do love him, too.

I’ve been a very lucky person, I have almost everything my heart desires, my school’s experiences were mostly pretty good, my university experience was good too. 

Now I’m a chemical engineer who feels like a wanderer who’s not lost, but who’s not found, either. 

Living in Venezuela for most people it’s a challenge in matters of BASIC STUFF, like, having something to eat, having a bed to sleep, even find medicines it’s a true journey, dealing with insecurity, inflation, shortage of ordinary products, saying goodbye to your loved ones, it’s the day by day for most us… 18 years ago this cancer came to the presidency and when he died the cancer became metastasis…

Currently I don’t have a job, I feel useless even though I spend most of my time doing something, but not having the opportunity to exploit my professional potential is driving me NUTS! 

Now, with this opportunity that SteemIt presents for many, perhaps in my same situation, I want to exploit others abilities that I know I have, even though they’ve never been put to practice.
