Where I grew up, things were simple. The Bible was perfect, in content, translation and teaching and Ronald Reagan was the greatest man of the modern world. Except it wasn't true.

This is Me!

I still read the Bible, and believe much of what I was taught, but in different ways, as for Reagan, well, greatness is in the eye of the beholder.

So, these days, I find myself in the Libertarian camp, my rights end where yours begin and I've recognized that even if there were a perfect moral code, in human terms, legislating it would not make anyone moral.

I have a wife of twenty-five years and eight children, two of whom are now adults. We live in Oklahoma City and have four dogs, three cats and a lizard.

I find the idea of Steemit refreshing, after years of trying to get something from other social networks, finally one that cuts out the middle man and pays the content producers directly. I'm guessing the developers can still get a generous cut.

I don't know a lot about Wilson, but he's on my reading list, so I will eventually find out. As to taxation is theft, what do you mean by into it? Into taxation, or the idea? LOL Long before I ever heard "taxation was theft" I was of the opinion that if you could avoid paying, you should and if you could get any of it back, you should. Anything that can be done to rob the monster of fuel, should be done. Every penny we keep is a penny they're not spending to blow shit up somewhere in the world.

Absolutely, we never completely escape where we came from. There was a lot good in my upbringing. I just needed some perspective.
