Introduce my Padel Tennis

For my very first post I’ve decided to introduce myself, as suggested in the quick guide, dealing with my strongest passion. Sports.
Since I was a kid I’ve always been practices sports, couple of months of Karate then some years volleyball, of course football (in Italian...quite a cliche). Then other kind of sports, such as Rugby Aussie Rules Fiotball, which owes me my right hand actually, and at the very end Paddle Tennis, or Paddle, or Padèl in the original name...
The story of this sport is quite funny because it born in the XIX century in the USA, basically playing tennis with a solid hard plate racquet, but in the 70’ if the XX century a Mexican tried to build a pitch in his house. Well, there was no space and the walls were too close to the court, and the guy (Enrique Corcuera) wrote the rules of a new sport, which involved the walls into the game.
Crazy...nobody would play this kind of sport.
In many countries it’s a concrete mania, in Argentina for example they have more than 35.000 clubs, in Spain it’s growing in popularity, the players are stars, they participate to the most glamour events and they are compared to football stars (can you believe it? In Spain?).
In Italy it’s happening the same, in 1991 they built the first courts in Bologna but in the last few years the mania took really place and in Rome there are today hundreds of clubs; same in Milan, even if the weather does not help, especially playing outside. Same is happening in France, London has great clubs; and many Tennis stars are approaching this sport.
Where is my story? Well, I’m definitely addicted to this sports, taking classes, playing with friends, random people, participating to tournaments that are growing in numbers in every region of Italy.
Next time I’ll write about a guy, Who is a concrete start, beat all time player and one of the ambassadors of this sport, a guy who’s literally spreading the world, involving icons from other sports and helping this movement to take place.
