I joined about six months ago and I have learned a lot by researching and reading here. I took action on some of that information and it has been life changing.
I recommend you connect with people who interest you, but also research about crypto-currencies. I learned about trading with Bitshares (which has some connections to Steem) and it has already made a significant positive difference in my life.
To start with, follow people who interest you and not just because they followed you. Read a lot, comment a lot.
