In his eBook ‘Lean Bulk’ Bradley Martyn is presenting his 16 weeks training program with his general guidelines on training and nutrition, based on different body types (ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph, skinny fat). The program is divided in two blocks: The first one is for “power building” (moderate frequency, high intensity) and the second one for “hypertrophy" (high volume, high frequency). In the following part the book gives general advices about nutrition, calorie intake and supplements.
PROS:
Nada. Apart from some general guidelines available for free on the internet.
CONS:
Some assistance exercises are put before compound movements in the strength block, which is probably not optimal while running a 5X5 program like this one.
The hypertrophy phase contains no compound movements (back squat, bench press, deadlift).
The eBook is too expensive (70$) for the offered content.
For whom:
The program is addressed to an advanced trainee in a calorie surplus.
