I'm @missedtheboat , and I'm going to share my story of the cryptoworld and thus the relevance of my user name. It was i think four or five year ago , i don't remember correctly but i had heard about bitcoin from a friend who told me to buy some. At that time bitcoin was going for about $2/btc. I decided to read about it a bit and came across articles on how to buy items of the deepweb and decided to pass on the opportunity. A bit of time passed and i came across a the reddit post claiming bitcoin has passed $300 ( i dont remember correctly but around there) and i was super disappointed in myself for not buying some. Soon afterwards the first bubble popped and the price dropped to around $50 / btc. I was super pumped and ready to buy to the point, where i had created my account on mt.gox and was ready to deposit some money. However, a sudden issue came up and i couldn't afford to buy a single btc due to financial issues. Thus i decided to pass again and accepted my fate about bitcoin.

During this time , ripple was also being released and you could sign up on the email list and you would get 10,000 xrp for free. I managed to get myself 2 accounts and about 20,000 xrp. I held on them for a while sold them for around $50 dollars and decided to put my extra $150 and buy LTC at $1.50 ( i think thats around the price) , I was pretty happy as it was said that ltc was like silver as gold was to btc. However , i think it was around the mt.gox hack and it send Ltc into a freefall. This resulted in the prices selling at $0.50 and i panic sold. ( i know only buy what you can afford to lose but that was all i had during that time and i didnt want to loose it all. )

I left the cryptoworld for a while and decided to persue other opportunities but never found success. I came back and found /r/doge and found it very appealing. It was being highly hyped and at that point a bobsled team had been sponsered by DOGE via a crowdfund and thus i decided to buy around half a million doge. 500,000 DOGE and decided to forget about it like i learned from my ltc lesson. However, i made a big mistake and didnt back up my .DAT file. A year late i decided to reformatted my pc and had no remote memories of the DOGE that were on the computer. It took another 6 months and once i remembered that i had lost this opportunity as well.

tl;dr: I screwed up big time and hope to make some success with STEEM this time and hope to be successful this time.
