All About Me!

I am originally from Maitland NSW in Australia but I’ve been in the States since turning 18 – and no, I don’t have an accent ;). I grew up in a Polish home and learned to speak both English and Polish.

I attended Maitland Grossman High School before graduating in 2011. The following year I chose to attend Hartland College to pursue my lifelong passion of teaching and working with children and youth.

I am absolutely crazy about anything involving history and am a passionate writer when time allows as I am a high school History and English teacher. I am currently work in two Christian high schools in Oregon and I'm loving it!

I am a person that loves to visit new places and try new things. I suppose that is also were my love of food comes from…I love trying new or different types of food, especially if it’s ethnic!

I like watching documentaries and dreaming of one day going to the places I am watching about – it’s amazing how much you can learn from such documentaries. However, I do like being active. I enjoy hiking, swimming, canoeing, skiing, and other outdoor activities.

I also enjoy massage therapy and have volunteered as a massage therapist in free clinics around the country. At times I have even gotten the chance to involve my students in these clinics while giving them an opportunity to learn massage as well as other health related roles :).

I have a passion for mission work. I traveled to India to volunteer as a teacher and it has been the best experience of my life! Part of my heart is in India and I love anything Indian….almost. I cannot wait to visit more places!

I enjoy photography — I like to capture every moment to keep it as a memory. Thus, with many of my students, when time allows, we take selfies :).
