Three of every 10 children in the country are born in surgery

Three out of every 10 children in the country are undergoing surgery, which is far more than the prescribed rates of the World Health Organization. Experts say, more than half of the surgery is without need.

This information was found in 'Bangladesh Maternity and Health Care Survey 2016'. It says that about 31 percent of children born in the country are undergoing surgery. The results of this survey were published on Wednesday at a hotel in the capital.

The World Health Organization says, 10-15 percent of the complications may arise. In these cases, surgery is required as a life-saving system.

However, according to the survey data, more than twice the child's birth rate of child health surgeries in Bangladesh is in operation. In 2001, 3 percent of the children were born in the surgery. It increased to 12 percent in 2010. And now 31 percent. Researchers say that this increase has increased in Bangladesh due to business reasons.

Surveyors say 31 lakh children are born annually in the country. About 10 million children were born in surgery. 7 lakh 50 thousand children were born in a private hospital and clinic. 43 thousand NGOs in the hospital. In the rest of the government hospital.

The documents presented on the program have said that some complications arise in the surgery. Blood transfusion is needed, in some cases the removal of the uterus, in some cases the intensive care center is kept. There are additional costs related to this.

The cost of the surgery in the government hospital cost Tk 12,400, the normal cost is Tk 3,000. And the private hospital costs 20 thousand and the normal cost is 6 thousand 800 rupees.

According to the survey, delivery rates for private hospitals or clinics are increasing. But these institutions do not have any normal delivery system. It is said that the preparation of private hospitals and clinics for normal delivery is zero.

Many researchers said that many children were born in unexpected surgery in the country. Again, the poor mothers of poor families are not getting this life-saving service, many of them are dying.

State Chief Minister Zahid Malik said, "There is a relation of ethics with the operation without the need. However, it is necessary to increase surveillance on private hospitals and clinics.

One of the researchers said that the child birth rate in surgery is the highest in Brazil. The government has taken some measures to reduce this rate. In each case the hospital must prove and show that the surgery is necessary or was there. Besides, 150 hospitals have been working contract with the government to increase normal delivery.

The National Population Research and Training Institute (NAPP) did this survey. Technical assistance has been provided by International Diarrheal Research Center, Bangladesh (ICDDR) and US-based research expert Major Evaluation. The United States donor agency USAID and UK donor agency UKAID have provided financial support
