This beaver is my neighbor in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor, 77% forest/farmland, 1,100 square miles, half the size of the Grand Canyon National Park, more than ten times the size of Arcadia National Park. My dog and I spend our time hiking through the Massachusetts portion of the Corridor, where we live. Outdoors, we enjoy shooting pictures with my Canon EOS Rebel T5 digital camera and visiting local farms.
Back at home, we enjoy cooking up many dishes using organic meats and produce from local farms. Some posts to come will include photos, recipes and ramblings regarding life in the rural farm country of Massachusetts. This should be an interesting blog because most people say I am busy as a beaver!

My dog thought so too and tried to jump into lake and play with the beaver. Luckily, I stopped him and said , " That's not a dog. He doesn't play". My impetuous little pup luckily relented. Somehow I got through to his dog brain that playing with a beaver was not a good idea.
