Mid-Life Crises, Bring It On.

Some people look for a mid-life crisis. The rest of us have it thrust upon them.

After twenty-seven years as a computer engineer, I received my first job cut at age fifty-two. Given I was stuck managing developers for the Financial Industry it was a welcomed respite. However, my rare condition, Behcet's Disease, scared off many would be employers.

With my health restrictions, I searched high and low for opportunities to be self-supporting. I am currently writing a mystery thriller novel called, "Joshua and the Valley of the Shadow of Death." In addition, I have completed a small book of humorous short stories entitled "Lucius McCray: Country Boy." It is currently up on Amazon.

I sound like a busy guy for someone who is disabled, but in truth, I can only produce a minimal amount of work per day. It's slow going, but I have always been a creator, whether on a computer, with a camera, or even doing some videos back when YouTube was nice to its community.

I'm excited to be here and look forward to seeing what people are saying and creating. I also hope to entertain the community here with my flash fiction and occasional videos.
