Nderijohnson, Helping Bring The Blockchain to Africa.

Hello, Everyone!

As you might be aware by now, Africa is lagging way behind in the uptake of the blockchain technology and its associated crypto currencies. There are good efforts in that direction though, with ICO tech startups like Kobocoin and Bitsoko.

Actually, even the governments do not know how to respond to any start ups that want to operate in this space. I have come to this space to get more experience about this technology and to see how I can leverage what most of you have already done and see whether I can use it to start a big conversation in Kenya and the rest of Africa.

Here in Africa, We already face many challenges due to archaic methods of doing business and running governments. It is not uncommon to have land registry files disappear, and with them, any proof of ownership of that land. Corruption is a huge beneficiary of old bookkeeping. Small scale business is hindered by lack of venture capital, and the poor keep getting poorer due to the Oversight of those who 'have.'

So I pose the question to myself and like minded people like you. Can cryptography address some of these challenges? I think it can. I am here to avidly read on any topic that points me in this direction and to offer my little knowledge of cryptography combined with my passion for changing how we do things in Africa.

Going by the few posts I have read so far, I believe I am in the right place!!!
