MY WORK AS AN AUDIO & VIDEO PRODUCER

Hello good people of Steemit! This is my very first Steemit post and I am excited to become a member of the Steemit community! My name is Tomislav (everyone calls me Jones) and I am a Croatia based music and video producer. I joined Steemit because I want to share my work with everyone on this platform and I am also excited to see what people are doing in audio and video production around the world!

(this is me trying to figure out why nothing is working)

I used to play the accordion when I was young but then I discovered electronic music and decided I want to be a producer. I started out with almost no equipment, setting up my little studio in the attic. I worked hard and slowly I was able to buy more equipment and do more serious work and now I have my own office and studio space where I spend most of my time.

I am also a huge Star Trek fan so I'm excited to find the trekkies amongst you because I'm sure there are a lot of Star Trek fans here! I named my studio NEXUS because of Star Trek so I guess... ENGAGE!

I work with all kinds of people and musicians on their projects and I also had the chance to work with some popular or just emerging music acts from Croatia. I work with my friend Marko who is basically here to stop me from just watching Star Trek all the time instead of doing work (super excited about the new Discovery episode that is being released tonight!)

(sometimes I pretend to be a sound engineer and mostly get away with it)

(and sometimes I'm really being serious, mostly working with jazz musicians. This is Woykhan, an award winnign Croatian saxophonist and a member of an amazing jazz fusion band Chui)

This is the one of the latest videos I made and it's for an emerging Croatian pop singer Neven Stipčić, shot at a beautiful medieval location not so far away from where I live

and here's a vocal track I recorded for my friend Laura for a song that is currently a big radio hit in Croatia

So, I guess that's what I do and I'm excited to share it with all of you on Steemit!
