JOINING THE STEEMIT COMMUNITY | MY INTRODUCTORY POST

Hi everyone my name is Nse Nkanta, i'm from Nigeria, living in the peaceful state of Akwa Ibom. I am new to the community and it would be good if i could get as much help as possible, advice would be one of them.

I am a student of UNIUYO studying Computer Engineering and loving it. I heard about steemit from a good friend @dannytroniz and told about this wonderful platform.

Am a big fan of Dwayne Johnson because he is ever relentless in his body building, keeping fit and contributing to the movie industry.

My hobbies are playing FIFA on console and on PC and playing Football manager on my android phone. I love poetry, and i write in my spare time.

Am into programming and web designing using Sublime and Bracket for my HTML
and CSS programming, am also into java script using solo android app.

    Hello nkblit! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

    1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
    2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
    3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
    4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.

    I wish you all the best for the time you will spend here.
    Don´t be shy! Try your writing skills and publish good photographies and pictures of the kind you would like to see.
    It´s sometimes hard to find a way here but if you are persistant you will find a place.

    There are so many tutorials and help page that you can easy become lost. The one and only tip that matters in the biginning is this. Threat and write about other people as you like them to write or treat about you. Thes rest will come with time.
