Introducing the Nobox Project

Welcome to the @nobox debate ground on Steemit. This initiative represents a joint effort by @kyriacos and @elemenya.

Our objective
Our purpose is to give voice to all Steemians to express their opinions about a variety of topics. Whether it is about politics, economics, religion, health, education, etc, there has always been controversy around important subjects. This means that each person interprets facts using different thought processes and that leads him or her to a different conclusion than the rest.

Why debate?
Constructive debate is the only way to come in contact with a different point of view and consider options that one might not have considered before. Furthermore, reading other people’s views helps to recognize any flaws in one’s own thought process and try to correct them. And lastly, through a collective exchange off opinions, people of Steemit can learn to communicate and accept the unique perspective of each person and where they come from.

How will it work?
In each post we will try to represent a topic for which there is controversy or a variety of opinions to be heard. This can be in the form of a statement, a yes-or-no question, or an open question. People can respond in the comments whether they agree with the statement, or a brief response to the question.

Rewards
Apart from the intellectual rewards, commenters will have the opportunity to gain steem dollars. For each post, one commenter will receive 25% of the Steem dollars the post generates. The winner will be selected by @kyriacos and @elemenya, and will be a selection for whoever creates the most genuine engagement and/or the most thoughtful comment. If bot activity is suspected, then the commenter will be excluded from the evaluation.

We believe engagement is vital to Steemit’s growth. @nobox will provide a fertile ground for fruitful discussion for both new and existing members.
