I'm Me. What Do?

Hello, everyone!

My name is Conner Goff (also known as my handle, Noughtshayde), I'm 22 years old, and I narrate audiobooks for a living. I work through ACX, as well as a company called Silverton Audio (http://silvertonaudio.com/) and record it all from my closet.

This means that not only is my audio pretty good, but that I come out of the closet every day.

Bad jokes aside, I have had my work distributed through Blackstone Media, and the most popular book I've narrated has been a Southern romance story about a biker dude and someone of barely legal age. I very much enjoy writing, with my most written-in genre being horror. I have written several books and short stories over the years, and plan to write many more on Steemit for all of you to share and enjoy!

I joined Steemit for several reasons. The first being the simple reason that it seemed to be the best platform for my chosen method of content creation, that is, writing. The short blogging/short story format that this site seems to support is perfect, as I am not very good at writing novels; my strengths lie in the short format, where the writing is punchy and to-the-point.

I'm a big fan of what the pulprev movement is trying to accomplish, and dislike pretentious, boring media as much as the next person. I think what they are doing is noble, and I try to emulate their ideologies whenever I write- punchy, meaningful writing that doesn't wax poetic about a purple curtain or coffee stain or stray too far from the main plot thread with pointless political pandering.

I have done work for the DimensionBucket Magazine Podcast, and am a co-founder of DimensionBucket Media (http://www.dimensionbucket.com/), a small production company run by me and my two friends, DimensionBucket and Jimfear139. Jimfear138 is also on here (https://steemit.com/@jimfear138), so go over and follow him if you haven't already- I believe he just started posting some of his short stories, so give them a read and give him some feedback!
