I am NTAM TITUS NKFUTOH ,

new in this platform, a teacher of primary school under the Ministry of Basic Education in Cameroon. I obtained my Teachers’ Grade One Certificate abbreviated In French (CAPIEMP) in June session 2000 after 2yrs of intensive training in Government Teacher Training Collage in Wum in Mechum Division of the then North West Province of Cameroon. I am a native of Kom tribe with Njinikejem as village of origin – Belo Sub Division, Boyo Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.

I became attached to government institutions of the primary Schools in November 2001 when I succeeded in the competitive interview for the employment of 3 contract teachers to 3 primary schools in Belo Sub Division which is 1 out of 4 sub divisions of Boyo Division, at the Divisional Delegation of National Education in Fundong. I was 1st out 20 Candidates with an outstanding average of 14.6 on 20. This Contract employment of teachers to government schools was sponsored by the German government with the French abbreviation EVAC.

I taught class 7 till 2006 when the primary school course duration was dropped from 7 to 6yrs with the split of the Ministry of National Education to Basic Education, Secondary Education, Vocational Training – Employment and Higher Education respectively. I continued as class 6 teacher in the Cameroonian context whereby the performance of candidates in official exams ( end of course exams) stood the basis of evaluation of institution by the hierarchy till present date even after my appointment as headteacher in February 20012 in GS Funge – Belo Sub Division.

I was successful in the December 2016 competitive examination for the integration of 500 contractualized teachers as civil servants into Cameroon’s public service after serving from 1st January 2007 as a contractualized teacher which is a grade under HIPC ( Heavily Indebted Poor Countries)teacher-employment initiated by the World Bank in Cameroon. I was number 27 out of 500 in order of merit in this lone exercise for teachers of this category nationwide over the years.

I was transferred to GS Mboyah in Ndu Sub Division in Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region in August 2017 where I headed the institution and taught classes 1 -5 as the lone pedagogue for 3months before a teacher was added to me to complete 2017/2018 academic year. This is a school created in 1997 which has had the final class over the years ( class 6) but never had this said class in 2017/2018 because this academic year was the 1st to start within the period of the Anglophone Crisis which started with a “ Teachers’ Strike” for schools on 21st November 2016 whose most serious phase being the war in North West and South West Regions of Cameroon finally deserted teachers and pupils thus, explaining the reason why I am in Bamenda since June 22nd 2018.

While in Bamenda I tried to involve myself in a provision store of my brother-in-law to reduce stress and boredom from idleness. In February 2019 I joined a volunteer group on child protection under Plan International whose assistance is greatly needed in this period of the Anglophone Crisis to positively impact the fundamental rights of children and their protection from the ills of the crisis and other societal vices. I served as a member of this Child Protection Committee which is a team of 15 members till 10th July 2019 when I was elected the president of this team for the work-zone , CPC Mile 2 Nkwen which continues to work relentlessly.

This service keeps me closer to children of primary school age who are identified in our field works and directed to the Child Friendly Space center though the project focuses on 1-24yrs of age for eligibility. I have participated in the sensitization scheme of this project in markets , public squares, meeting houses, churches and people’s homes principally on internally displaced children and girl child in particular who are found battling with abject and protracted challenges in the face of the Anglophone Crisis.

Attached are ; my end of course religious certificate for primary school which I hold in high esteem for its place in my professional career as it is closely linked with Professional Morals which is a subject in teacher training course, my Teachers’ Grade One Certificate (CAPIEMP) which has kept me tall in competitive events in my teaching career with me succeeding with encouraging performances and a local football calendar that projects my active nature in psycho-motor skills which are developed from childhood to later years in life and are fully incorporated in games of this nature at the optimum stage of one’s youthfulness.

To conclude on my professional domain as a teacher, I remain a contractualised teacher pending integration as a civil servant and the present headteacher of GS Mboyah in Ndu Sub Division while waiting hopefully in Bamenda for the crisis to be over for me to resume service.

I have had as hobbies sports ( football as priority), arts/ crafts especially in the domain of didactic materials and drawings in particular for facilitation of rapid acquisition of knowledge by my learners.
