Hello, Steemit? It's me, Gabriela!

My name is Gabriela Nava, I’m (almost) 20 years old and I live in the hottest city of Venezuela: Maracaibo. I’m currently in the final phase of my studies in Social Communication, but my restless and curious mind has led me to experiment in other areas.

 The same curious push made me fall into the world of design, art and illustration; however, I am also passionate about music along with everything that revolves around it, the cultures that embrace musical genres such as punk and hardcore, tattoos, the psychology and philosophy that moves the human mind, travel and life in general. 

Thanks to my career, some doors have been opened to me to test my writing skills; from writing for a newspaper to making radio and television scripts, but I have rarely had the opportunity to write about the things that particularly fascinate me. Steemit came to me in order to change that. 

However, writing is not the only thing that makes me get ideas out of my head and share them with the world; I also walk holding hands with creating art, professionally and personally. I receive commissions to make personalized digital portraits,  merch design for bands, tattoos, editorial collaborations, work with brand companies... Though, none of that is as satisfying as drawing what is in my mind, inspired by music, traditional tattoos, old school TV shows and everything that comes to me in fortuitous moments.

As I mentioned at the beginning, I have an excessive interest in music: from the way of promoting it to the idea of continuing to train in the execution of diverse instruments, the use of certain technical equipment, songwriting and musical production. My goal is to develop future projects that will lead me to achieve it. 

I’m a very disciplined and organized person when it comes to do what I love; but I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the fascination for such different branches growing from the same body. I believe in Steemit as an open window to organize my ideas, share what I have learned and continue to absorb from each one. I hope that this community will help me to grow in the journey, as well as to be able to give my seed to all of you.
