Hello Steemit! OmniNorth here, lets do this!

Hello all,

You can call me OmniNorth and I’m here to join the incredible Steemit community!

I’m a 30-something guy born and raised in Ontario, Canada and writing has been an interest of mine for a long time. Ever since I knew what a story was, I feel like I’ve always been trying to put my own spin on it or simply make up my own. I’ve dabbled with various forms of writing over the years, ranging from short stories for myself, technical articles for my small business as well as freelance blogging and social media management for some local organizations. I’ve experienced varying degrees of professional success with it and my personal writing has always been relaxing for me. It’s been a part of my life for as long as I’ve known how to hold a pen and type on a keyboard.

But over the last year, I was hit with the biggest case of writer’s block I’ve ever had. Hard to say what caused it, really. Maybe it was stress from work and life, maybe I simply lost the touch for a while. No way to know for sure. Try as I might, the words simply wouldn’t come to me anymore. Every time I tried to kick my ass into gear and write something down, I eventually found myself staring blankly at a screen as my mind froze up. Needless to say, it was getting a bit frustrating. Thankfully, things have started to change.

I met an incredible girl two years ago who makes me very happy and I’m grateful for every single day I get to call her my girlfriend and partner. She’s always been a bit more social and outgoing than I am, not to mention she’s far more interested in travel then I ever was (me being a slightly socially anxious homebody, of course). But over these last two years, we’ve gone and explored a few places together, both locally and in other countries and I have to say….the experiences we’ve had and the sights I’ve seen have finally hit me with the travel bug! It’s really opened my eyes to how much beauty and wonder there truly is in the world and I intend to experience as much of it as I can while I can. On top of that, some of my closest friends have been urging me to get on here and share my writings for awhile now, so I figured I'd take their advice. These same friends are also the people who introduced me to the big (sometimes confusing) world of cryptocurrencies and the potential they might have in the future. I’m fascinated by the possibilities that digital, decentralized currencies present and I’m eager to see what this whole movement has in store going forward.

Steemit seems like the perfect place for someone like me and an ideal platform to help me keep the writer’s block at bay. My goal here is simple: to write about whatever life throws my way and share my story as it unfolds. Pictures and stories from my next journey across the globe, musings about cryptocurrencies, and even some random thoughts on a movie I see over the weekend. Anything and everything that I feel is worth writing about.

I’m looking forward to contributing my words, pictures and thoughts to this wonderful community and hopefully, some of it will resonate with you. All the best to you and yours, more coming soon!
